The Story of Chaiseph
Some call him Joseph. Others call him Chaiseph. But you can call him a friend.
We use our founder's likeness and name, but Chaiseph itself started with a taste inspiration. After traveling all over the world and tasting in places like Korea, Ethiopia, Germany and Colombia, the flavors of India stuck with Joe. He remembers the morning and afternoon teas in Mumbai.
After trying to find a real chai in one cafe after another, he couldn't find one. A tea bag with some watery milk just wasn't enough. So he started looking for Indian flavors in local spice shops and after much experimentation and trial and error in the kitchen he finally had a tea blend that he liked.
Soon he received a special tip. It was called "Sticky Chai". The combination of tea, spices, and a binding agent was intended to create a harmonious moment that would rival the masala chai on the streets of Mumbai.
Eventually Chaiseph was created. He started giving it away to friends and family and the response was so great we knew we had to extend the brand to others as well.
